The Pathfinder Luggage story begins in 1991. A group of individuals lead by company founder Eiken Lin , believed they could design and distribute their own brand innovative, high quality luggage with better control and at lower costs. The PATHFINDER difference was a commitment to build our own products in our own factory to our own standards -- verses paying outside contractors to make our products for us like virtually every other manufacturer. We believed no contractor would care as much or invest as much to make our products as well as we would. Building our own factory was a tremendous risk but a fundamental cost advantage vs. our competitors. We choose to pass the savings earned by our unique approach on to our customers making PATHFINDER products a better value as well.
This belief in doing it ourselves has paid off with success. Today Pathfinder Luggage in a widely recognized international brand, respected for the integrity, durability and value of our travel products. We have grown to be one of the largest independent manufacturers of luggage & travel products in the world controlling the design, raw material sourcing & production process from start to finish in our own factories.
Innovation is another PATHFINDER passion. We have received more than a dozen ground breaking US Patents covering product design, construction and material components. We use only the finest components from the top resources, many developed exclusively for our use. For example:
